Today is the official one-year anniversary of In the Margins!
Fact: Although I’ve been freelance editing since my early 20s—over 16 years now (ouch)—it wasn’t until 2022 that I officially formed my business and dedicated myself to developmental editing and writing full-time.
It was September 14, 2022, that I registered my LLC with my state and secured my EIN. A year ago today I went from Kayleigh, freelance editor, to Kayleigh, owner of In the Margins—and what a change.
I’m so grateful to the writers who have trusted me to edit and workshop their picture books and novels over the last 12 months. I’ve read captivating fantasy, heartstring-tugging romance, suspenseful sci-fi, and heartwarming picture books about friendship and being who we are.
I look forward to continuing to grow in year two through new clients and new offerings.
